\ud81a\udd78 Bright yellow lichen - aka Xanthia parietina - or maritime sunburst or shore lichen - jutted out on the deep brown-green gnarly spines of naked trees.<\/p>
\u2661 This artwork began as a series of hand-shot photographs capturing skeletal branches draped in lichen. Through a process of deconstruction, digital hand-painting, and transformation, the imagery evolved, shaping itself into the form of a spine.
