Standard\u2019s reporting is fuelled by gossip and rumour evoking the often disparaged nature of queer history.<\/p><p>Drawing upon the headline \u2018GAY SANTA GETS SACK\u2019 - a real story in The Sun newspaper in 1986 -and the story's appearance within a Derek Jarman painting, Amy drags up to find out what really happened to the actor Danny Ford who was presumably dismissed from his role as Santa Claus within the historic department store Keddies in Southend.<br \/><br \/>On the film I took care of the post sound production, the sound design, mixing and mastering. I was also asked to compose a theme tune, a comedy and camped up version of the 1980s TV-AM.<br \/><br \/>It was quite different to my usual moody soundscapes, organic noises and cinematic cues, so a bit of a challenge as well as good fun. <br \/><br \/>Anyway, this film is part of a wider exhibition called Southend's Twilight World. It uncovers an alternative history in the town (now a city).
