THE ART OF NATURE'S COMPOSITIONS
THIS new collection contains not only unique pieces of artwork, but features a download code for a one-off piece of music for each design. .

I'VE so loved every aspect of creating this new collection of combined prints and music tracks.

Each piece of artwork for print features a download code for a one-off piece of music. There are three pieces of music specifically for each of the three designs... music composed by a stream, music composed by the earth and music composed via the energy between human touch.

I used the electricity of these three forces, to generate midi notes to my audio production software, via a Playtronica device, in the woods. There is a film shot by one of my sons who was with me, showing me doing that at the time, elsewhere on this site (on the About page) if you would like to look. I chose a synthesiser sound to attach to the midi notes and beautiful music was heard. The velocity of the different frequencies are what altered the musical tones. As I recorded the notes there and then in the woods, I didn't change the volume or do anything at all with the sound beyond choosing it. Everything you can hear in the recording - the dips and changes in velocity and volume, the different notes created according to the force of the frequencies - was recorded as it was.

When back in my home studio I simply duplicated each recorded track and gave it another synth sound over the exact same notes, to represent individual 'voices'; one for the stream, one for earth and one for the human touch. Beyond that, again, there was no mixing, no panning, no messing with the volume, no changing of the notes. Sometimes the music peaks slightly, which I chose to leave, as I wanted it to be totally authentic and exactly how the sounds were picked up at the time. I find the differences of very changeable notes between the forces of the rippling streams or human touch, to the rather more balanced and steady notes of the earth, fascinating.

In the final three tracks, what you will hear is all as was conducted by the stream, the earth or the energy between human touch, exactly as 'nature intended' with the help of technology of course, which has enabled you to hear it.

I developed the artwork from the pattern of the midi notes in the DAW visual. The smaller images within each final printed piece on art + apparel, were created to resemble barcodes, but actually if you look closely, you'll see they are developments of the original recorded midi notes.

Find the finished art + apparel products HERE.

When you have chosen your product, you can go to kellybuckleymusic.net/dl and enter the download code you'll find printed within the artwork, to hear the corresponding track.

Each track or piece of artwork is titled The Stream Sings, The Earth Sings and The Human Touch.

These prints comes on 100% fsa certified recycled art stock or 100% Fsa certified organic cotton apparel, all made in a wind-powered factory using sustainable, renewable energy methods.

Here is a short film, explaining all in a nutshell.

-- Kelly (K-A-B).

TODAY I’ve been recording sounds on the beach to make a sample.
