I WAS having a mooch about town one day with my boyfriend. We both had a day off, were slightly hungover, and just decided to go for a meander away from the beaten track.
We visited a local park, hidden away like some kind of green oasis in the middle of the ordinary residential area of the suburbs of a coastal town.<\/p>
I was surprised to come across a bale of turtles, looking like they were basking in the sunshine, on a wooden little handmade bridge in the middle of a pond. I'm not sure I've seen many turtles in my life, and it was quite remarkable and sweet if also slightly surreal to see them gathered there, necks and faces craning up, as if to get the warmth onto their faces. Every now and then, one would waddle down the wooden slide of the bridge, into the water.<\/p>
Obviously this fascinating sight inspired a couple of digital prints, as well as a musical underscore created for licensing purposes. You can find the results by searching through the apparel section<\/a>, or look at the collection named Creatures.
