Our ancestors of the northern hemisphere would have honoured the goddess and god of the sun, whose warmth and light nourish the earth and inspire creativity and passion. In this modern age, the festival celebrates independence, creativity, and the vibrant pulse of life.

💛💚Meet Aine and Lugh: Icons of Summer

Among the deities celebrated during Litha are Aine; the Celtic goddess of summer, love and sovereignty, and Lugh; a god in Irish mythology, who is associated with skill, creativity, and the summer harvest (called Lughnasadh), traditionally held on August 1, halfway between the summer solstice and autumn equinox. These ancient figures still resonate powerfully today, symbolising independence, creativity and the vibrant pulse of life itself. Aine, with her connection to the sun and fertility, inspires us to embrace our inner strength and celebrate the natural world around us. Lugh, known for his talents and leadership, encourages us to pursue our passions with skill and determination, embodying the essence of summer's vitality.

🐝Why Litha Bloom?

Incorporating elements of these timeless themes and modern interpretations, Litha Bloom celebrates the peak of summer with a contemporary punch.
