They seem to grow so quickly I wonder if it is possible to catch them reaching for the sun, with the human eye","content":"<p>I love to do nature-sound experiments.<br \/><br \/>With this one, I noticed that after days of heavy rain interspersed by strong sunlight, a batch of dandelions sprung up in my garden, so tall, seemingly overnight. <br \/><br \/>They seem to grow so quickly I wonder if it is possible to catch them reaching for the sun, with the human eye. <br \/><br \/>I connected my midi controller and synth to the dandelions so they could conduct audio.<\/p><p>This is one of my favourite ways to work because not only are the results so random - the midi notes entirely conducted by the dandelions varying frequencies - but it also is a great way to feel connected to nature. <br \/><br \/>As I work indoors a lot, and am often tied to a computer screen, going out for a quick nature-sound session always makes me feel both grounded, recharged and inspired.<\/p><p>As you may know if you have been following my work for a while, I tend to document my process as I go, creating visual spin offs to share with the audio results.
