Heads up! We\u2019re having a Green Friday instead of a black one this weekend at K-A-B .NET.<\/p>

For independent businesses which run via sustainable suppliers, Black Friday isn\u2019t a good thing. Our prices are already as low as they can be, but cannot be \u2018cheap\u2019 or slashed to \u2018bargain basement\u2019 because of the way our goods are made - (organic cotton, recycled art stock, sustainable energy methods, vegan, environmentally friendly inks, all made by happy people paid well for their time and skills, etc etc).<\/p>

The public are starting to become more aware that overconsumption on Black Friday has a price that's being paid by the environment. 80% of Black Friday purchases end up in landfill or are incinerated. We say green is the new black!<\/p>

So GREEN FRIDAY will be happening at K-A-B.NET all weekend from today until and including Monday (aka Cyber Monday) where for every art + apparel order made, a tree will be planted helping forests to regenerate. The international tree planting organisations we partner with work to maintain natural biodiversity and combat deforestation, working in areas where the trees are needed the most.
