I\u2019M well excited and thrilled to be working on a soundtrack to accompany the exhibited work of a very exciting contemporary visual artist, called Ruth Jones.<\/p>

She does amazing, intelligent, thought provoking work, often political and is a superbly talented fine artist. She is also a leading figure with The Agency of Visible Women at the Old Waterworks Gallery, among other initiatives. Do check her out. Her insta handle is @ruthkathyrnjones.<\/p>

Her work, which I\u2019ve created the soundtrack for, is titled Redaction, Volume 3, and is being shown on Oct 9-11 at Safehouse 1&2, Copeland Rd, London. It's part of a larger exhibition titled Between Walls, with 10 artists.<\/p>

The soundtrack I am creating is a 12-13 minute loop. It's pretty much finished other than a few final touches, mixing and mastering.

I plan to post the track and some visuals of the work, after exhibition has taken place, with a slightly more in-depth explanation. Until then, and to avoid any spoilers, here is an extract from the programme.<\/p>

For\u00a0Between Walls<\/strong>, Jones is exhibiting\u00a0Redaction, Volume 3.<\/em>\u00a0Jones\u2019 work plays with the fluid process of taking, holding and acceding space as a womxn.<\/p>

The visibility of the piece is dependent on lighting and viewpoint, representing the tenuous hold womxn have over their bodies and the spaces they occupy.<\/p>

The repetitive nature of womxn\u2019s labour is echoed by sounds sampled directly from the materials of the\u00a0Redaction<\/em>\u00a0series and has been woven into an ambient loop by Kelly Buckley, to accompany the experience of the work.<\/p><\/blockquote>
